ALIMANGO FESTIVAL 2009

Bisperas san Patron, is the annual Alimango Festival, this has become one of the higlights of the fiesta celebration. The street dancing was very colorful and well choreographed and is now a real pride of Sta. Margarita.

This is it!!!!

Next week patron na..and I'm excited to go home. The basketball tournament have started already and damo na peryahan myda pa mini-ferriswheel. For sure that by the end of July we will have lots and lots of updates and pictures here in this website.

For people in Manila, it's not yet late pwede pa maglukat tiket sa Cebu Pacific Php1600 round trip na, Go-Lite la an tiket para mas barato, it means you can not check-in any baggage, you have to handcarry your stuff and should not exceed 15 kilos.

ALIMANGO FESTIVAL GOES TO CEBU CITY

The Alimango Festival of Sta. Margarita went to Cebu City just recently to showcase the culture that we have and as expected, they were well applauded. Here are some pics I got from a professional photographer from Calbayog who was so very kind to share the pics he took.

On these pics I noticed that the team was with Mayor Fred Serrano, Councilors Monina Doinog and Lucy Yñota, Dante Serrano, Edgar Gara, Pong Balios, Bong Gara, Sheila Serrano, Inday Cruda and the rest of the employees of the Municipality (sorry if I couldn't mention all your names, I'm old now and it's so hard to remember all your full names)

I thought I'd share...

For all of you Manila-based Magsohongnons who are planning to go home for our town fiesta celebration by July...As we all know, Calbayog City is now being serviced by three airlines, namely PAL, Zest Air (formerly Asian Spirit) and Cebu Pacific.

The thing is, Cebu Pacific has always been kind to everyone with their montly promos specially during off-peak season (I actually enjoyed it last year when I went to Cebu City @Php 1700 two-way ticket). And since July is an off-peak month, the fare is amazingly cheap, as of today, I checked online and you only need to spend around Php1,000 and yes, that's a round trip fare already.

So, are you going home? Maybe you should, it's gonna be fun and you're not going to spend much (take the bus? its more than 2k for a roundtrip ticket huh! plus the agonizing 18 hour trip). The catch is you have to book as early as NOW!!!! to avail this promo and don't carry much luggage just few clothes and stuff not over 10 kilos otherwise there is an additional charge of Php200.
